A journey through the vineyards and winery of Augustali

In the heart of Sicily, among gentle hills and sea breezes, we passionately cultivate vineyards that tell the story of our love for wine. Discover how our wines are born — from grape to bottle — through a journey that blends tradition, innovation, and sustainability.

Land, sun, and passion: the secret behind our vineyards

Augustali is located in Sicily, between the provinces of Trapani and Palermo, in the heart of the Gulf of Castellammare and in the fertile area of Bosco Falconeria, between Alcamo and Partinico — a land dear to Frederick II of Swabia. The family’s vineyards and olive groves span nineteen hectares, partly on the hilly terrain of Bosco Falconeria and partly in the countryside of Monreale, in the hills of the Palermo hinterland.

THE VINEYARDS OF BOSCO FALCONERIA

We are in a gently rolling landscape that descends toward the sea, once called “the garden” for its fertility and beauty. Here, the favorable pedoclimatic conditions are particularly suitable for grape growing: sandy and moderately calcareous soils that produce wines known for their freshness and flavor.

AGRO OF MONREALE

In the northwestern part of the island, the hills of Monreale offer a well-ventilated, sunny area ideal for grape cultivation. Rich organic soils and elevated altitudes, made possible by the fertile medium-textured terrain, are enhanced by the influence of the Mediterranean climate.

Where the soul of Augustali wine is born

The winery is the beating heart of our production: here, through artisanal methods and cutting-edge technology, we transform grapes into wines that tell the true story of our land. Every step — from fermentation to aging — is carried out with care to ensure each bottle conveys emotion and identity.

The Soul of the Augustali Farm: the People

Behind every bottle is a passionate team: from the vineyard workers who care for the vines with dedication, to the cellar and winemaking technicians, all the way to the family, who have passed down the winemaking tradition for generations.

ENOLOGIST BAMBINA

In January 2012, enologist Bambina, convinced of the land’s great potential, planted 28 rows of Vermentino, marking the beginning of a new life — the creation of the first wine at Bosco Falconeria. "Il Contrasto del Bianco", from a little-loved grape, proved to be a great success: in 2020, it passed a rigorous selection and was included in the TOP 100 ITALIAN WINES. Celebrated American journalist James Suckling also recognized the enologist’s potential, confirming that Sicily had produced its best Vermentino yet
